Forming Silk I / Pleating

The "Pleating"  investigates how high-twist silk responds to changing warp densities in leno weaving using a rail reed. Variations in spacing allowed the yarns to release stored stress, producing spontaneous spiraling pleats rather than the planned expansion. The widest section showed the strongest pleating potential, transforming from a flat surface into a pleated form through gravity and gentle activation.

The moment when hang up, the pleating happened spontaneously by yarns.
